Megazorb

[Maisy and Poppy]

I heard some people recommend megazorb. Would you recommend it? Would it be suitable under hay?

i used to use megazorb for the rabbits litter trays but stopped after it became very dusty. i would recommend fitch instead.

I used to use megazorb before switched to auboise. I found auboise was a better beddin with hay over the top and I'm sticking with it now.

I am the exact same as biscandmatt. Used to use megazorb but noticed it started getting really dusty so switched to Fitch which I highly recommend

That is the only one I have ever used, and would not think about using any others bar vetbed.

I love fleece but wouldn't use it in the whole cage because of the amount of laundry.

I put mine in a petware laundry bag to wash it because , not matter how much you brush it, there are still pet hairs on it when it goes in the wash. Some forum members use an old duvet cover.

I switched to megazorb after carefresh became very expenise and have sticked with it ever since. I see why people consider it a little dusty but it settles very quickly and doesn't really get kicked around much. One of my pigs is quite sensitive with beddings and sneezes if she's intolerrant or if the bedding is exceptionally dusty but she's fine on this one so I'd reccomend giving it a try!
PS the bales are very large and last me about 2 cage cleans, but probably because I also use it in my hamster's cage too hahaha

I should add though that I haven't tried Fitch or Auboise in the past so I can't really compare Megazorb against them.

I have used wood shaving Auboise fleece and fitch. One of my pigs can't use wood shaving it makes him very ill and I found it smelly. I try auboise bedding, only for 2 days as it is made of small pieces, like little needles and one of these got inbedded in my pig bottom. So the auboise ended up in the bin. Fleece is nice I liked it but I found my weekly electric more that doubled. It worked out very expensive.
I always go back to fitch. Its the easiest to clean, its the cheapest it last me 2 month I have a large 2 x 5 c&c cage. And it keeps pigs very very dry and warm. It is totally dust free. It is by far the best bedding I have tried. I haven't tried megazorb because fitch works out cheeper and has no dust

Hi I use fleece down stairs in my hutches my boys like the freedom that fleece gives them as they have long hair and fleece means they can move about with out getting loose bedding caught up under their tummies when they walk about if that makes any sense lol. I use Auboise in the hallway upstairs in their hutches and their litter trays as Auboise soaks up the urine and leaves the top layer dry then I have a (cheap) vet bed covered with a towel in their bedroom and a big fleece blanket on top so they can snuggle on it or under that fleece this all works really well for my boys.
