Merlin will only eat lettuce, parsley and baby corn at the moment

He seems to have gone off carrots and other greens completely

Should I persevere and hope that his desire to eat these things comes back, or give him what he wants

I have an "only" pig who does this sometimes, but you may find that if you give it to him a different way, i.e., cut it up different, slices of carrot instead of chunks or whatever you do, and tear the greens up / shred he may start being interested again. Pookie adored peas but know only eats them if I take them out the shell now lol! I think its a bored thing, no competition for it - not gonna eat it!

Oh yes

Having lost my Billie to teeth probs I look for that first

Oh my max is the same he is pain for eating his veg one day he will eat something the next day he wont

I had a pig who got all fussy once & for a couple of days I grated carrot & broccolli stalks into her dry food & she went crazy for it. Sometimes I use a potato peeler to do ling skinny slithers of veg & fruit which mine tend to like. I only do this when I have time on my hands though because it takes AGES with 12 pigs!

Good idea!

He is better today - back on the carrot etc. He must just be a little fussy atm

Yer I think piggies can be fussy eaters.. Squeak goes through phases of not liking ANYTHING but grass and dandelion leaves :( I put all the veg in the world in there and the next day its still there and gets thrown away - then a few days later, she's back on it... At the moment she wont touch apple, which about a month ago was her favourite hehe ;)

That's good news. I am so happy my guineas aren't fussy, however, they don't really get a choice. :)

Mine only like organic carrots now. Won't touch any other ones ::)

They have to be organic. :o

Yep. When you give them in some normal carrot and some organic they take the organic right away.

I guess that proves that there is a difference in taste after all
