Our Bramble has been put on 0.2ml of metacam, the box says to put it on her food but she is currently not eating by herself. I'm assuming its safe to mix in with her syringe feed? Just wanted to double check before doing this. If so, how much feed per dose of metacam should I be giving? Shes currently taking about 15ml of food per sitting so I'm hopeing it will be less than that but I'm not aure how much/little diluted it needs to be, if at all.

Thanks for any help :)

Thankyou, I was wondering what the point was.. especially as shes on liquid food! But figured id ask before doing anything just in case there was a reason I was missing.

Just syringe the amount straight into her mouth and hopefully she will be feeling much better soon :-)

All done and medicated, now shes sulking bless her Thankyou, I hope so too.. she has an inner ear infection that seems to have come out of nowhere, breaks my heart to see her all tilted and wobbly but shes already improved so much since her first appointment on Sunday. I'm sure she will be back to her old self in no time.

Metacam listing to be given with food is because NSAIDs shouldn't be given on an empty stomach. But it doesn't have to actually be given mixed in food - a little bit of syringe feed first to line the stomach comes to the same thing.
