I had Ziggy (dog) microchipped I held him while Jo (bestfriend the vet) chipped him. The needle is huge that they use for chipping and piggies do not need it doing. Just keep them under lock and key if your worried O0

I agree I've seen the size of the needle they use and its practically the size of a guinea pig

As if no needle is the size of a guinea pig ::) its wide about the size of a pen that has to go in :)

Sorry I was exaggerating :D
I jsut meant its way too big for them
I feel sick every time a dog gets it done let alone a smaller animal

I held my dog while my mate did the chip, its better to have them done in them being event of them being stolen or lost you stand a better chance of getting them back :)

Yeah i know - my dads dog is microchipped - his other dog is gonna get microchipped soon
but for guinea pigs ? I think its stupid ;D

Yeah my vets dog was stolen but luckily it was microchipped and they tracked it to where it was chained up in a garden
The story was in the local paper which I hope encouraged everyone to get their dogs chipped :smitten:

I agree with dogs, cats and rabbits...but anything smaller. I dont!
My cat and rabbit are both microchipped :)

I think it should be by law that when you buy a dog it should be microchipped. We have so many strays here in the UK.
I know in America they have GPS Collars, perhaps someone could great something as small to go in a microchip because the collar could easly be taken of unlike a microchip.
