I am becoming too scared to go out and leave them! Could, whatever this is, be spreading between them because they are kept in the house where it is warm? Are the germs breeding in the warm environment? I love having them indoors but to be honest when I kept piggies outdoors I never had a problem like this! In fact they seemed much healthier!

Today all the cages are going to be washed and disinfected and then I am going to move some into different rooms. Not sure if this will help break the cycle but I have got to try anything.

Ben, who was Milo's cage mate, seems ok this morning as do all the others but I got up a few times in the night to go round and check up on them all.

I just wish this would stop! :'( :'( :'( :'(

Here is a picture of Milo. Ben turned him into a very lazy boy - a typical bloke in other words!

RIP little Milo. You are now re-united with Titch (your first cage-mate!)

i wish it would stop too,its depressing when it keeps happening to people,it seems like theres one of us losing a piggy every day now

Debbie I had this happen to me last year losing 4 in a space of a few weeks I did begin to doubt my ability of being a good piggy mum but as we have so many pigs i guess it makes us more likley to lose them in a greater amount in a short time, please dont doubt your abilitys you are a good piggy mum and you have the others to think about and care for, I got to the point of being scared to open up the sheds in the mornings , nature is a wonderful thing but also quite blunt to our feelings please think along the lines of the years you did have your babys and how much joy they brought you, milo and your others are at the bridge and now playing peek a boo with my darling dobby, that made me chuckle just thinking about it, he was a mummys boy one of my specials I know we are not suppose to have them but he along with floo are/were very attacted to me, I miss dobbs so very much and know exactly how awlful you feel, but you have to take a deep breath and carry on thats what beign a good piggy mum does, hope your scrubbing and disenfecting helps, when dobbs had diaroeah a while ago I gave him some fiberplex and it stopped it along with dioralite, just a thought, but i'm sure you have already done all this, we grab at straws dont we anything to save them, I never got to Boots as quick as friday for dobbs medication as advised by Vedra, as i said anything for them, chin up sweetheart and God bless Milo and his gang can you imagine them causing havoc at the bridge along with Dobby lol :-* :'( :'( :'( :'(

So sorry Debbie. A big hug coming your way (((((((hug)))))))))
RIP little Milo.

It's always the same at this time of the year, whether human or animal, so many take their leave...

Please don't blame yourself.
Thinking of you.
Barbara

Debbie, I am so very very sorry. Milo was absolutely gorgeous.

The boys and I are sending you so much love x and Angel-Doctor will take care of Milo.

So sorry to hear about Milo (and his friends) - how awful for you. :'(
It does sound as if a lot of people are losing piggies at the moment; I don't know, is it perhaps the winters being so mild? My grandparents' generation used to say that too many mild winters were a Bad Thing. I'm sure it can't be anything you have done, you obviously care about your pigs, and it is happening to other people in other parts of the country as well, and to other kinds of animal - we have just lost our much-loved cat. It really hurts to lose them - but ironically the kind of person who gets hurt most by losing one is the kind of person who cares enough to be a good 'Mum' to them in their lifetime. :(

Sleep well together, little piggies!

.

So very sorry for your loss, popcorn at the bridge Milo x

I'm so sorry to hear about Milo. What a beautiful little piggy. I'm sure is happy and well now, reunited with his friends. x

Really sorry to hear about this sad news. Milo looked like such a handsome, shiny piggy. I hope he is having fun with his friends over the Rainbow Bridge. Take care little fella.
