Mimsi is slipping away..

So sorry to hear this :( you are having such a rough time lately! I was so upset loosing one piggy so can't imagine what you must be going through!
I hope you start to get some much deserved happiness soon :) hope your ok xx

I'm so sorry to hear your piggy is so ill... I know exactly what you're going through :( It really is so heartbreaking watching them slip away, but try to think of happier memories and remember Mimsi that way. I know it's hard to do that at first when all you can see is how he is now, but it should get easier. Think of the good life he has had, and all the love and care that he has had over the years.

Thank you for your lovely words. Mimsi is just sitting in the same spot in the cage. I gave him some water which he took, but isnt eating. He appears to be in a trance like state, which piggies can do when they are ill. I keep checking on him and I genuinely dont think he is in any pain...Mimsi has always been my fave piggie and I'm blessed to have had him for so long. He is in the best place, at home where he feels safe and secure. I will monitor him through the night and let everyone know how he is.

TO EVERYONE: Thank you for your support. It has helped so much for me to read all these lovely messages. Its just wonderful that everyone unites in support when piggies are ill and I thank you all..

I will be checking on mimsi every hour. I have my interview at the job centre tomorrow, dont think I'm going to be at my best somehow....
 
coffee, vit C and a good brekkie will do the trick... or a single malt?

Angie use Mimsi, Monty and LP as a positive motivators, think of how he and the others have conquered illnesses etc.........

sorry to hear mimsi isn't well hon. 8 is a great age especially with all the health problems so feel proud that you've helped him live such a long life. Lots of love x x x

Mimsi spent all night in his cozy. I gave him water regularly. This morning he moved, very shakily out of his cozy and took some critical care and more water. I checked him bum and he had trapped poos, they are tiny though. More like mouse droppings. He isnt going without a fight and is still poorly but whilst he is fighting, I will do all I can for my gorgeous boy...
 
Come one Mimsi, that's great news that he wants to eat and came out his cozy! Thinking of you Angie, like you say if your special boy is to leave it won't be without a fight!

Sounds like a true little trooper. I prayed for Mimsi last night and although not being religious at all, just seemed the right thing to do. My boy is still not well but getting stronger, back on antibiotics and analgesia and we are syringing fluids etc. so when I went to bed last night, prayed that he, Mimsi and all poorly piggies out there would be comfy overnight and a bit better this morning :)

Thats lovely. I said a prayer last night for Mimsi and all the rainbow bridge piggies..... Sending get well vibes for your boy..
 
Mimsi is still hanging on. He has moved a bit but is stumbly and shaky. He is taking water when I offer it and nibbling hay, but I dont think he has eaten any pellets..he took some grass earlier.
