I had my maria on my bed and she was making all sorts of sounds of happiness and curiosity and then i noticed she wanted some more hay. I go to open the bag and she hops right in the timothy hay bag and starts eating it while she is sitting in the bag! :)). My silly little Maria. I got her out and closed the bag and she's nudging it trying to get back in!
 
You bet they can. I found some sound clips of different guinea noises and their meanings, and when I play the happy chirping to her, she will do it back drool. She was chirping the happy chirp so much tonight I was glad to see her coming out of her shell even more. (Oh, and she tried to eat my laptop because she could tell the sound was coming from it XD.)
 
She has me so well wrapped around her finger ^). She can hear the fridge door open, and half the time she wheeeks for a small piece of a carrot (I don't feed her them very often, as I've heard they can cause liver problems.). She gets jealous of me giving the dog attentions so she wheeeks while doing her lonely sounds. and when she hears a bag crinkle she wheeeks for a treat or more hay :)p
