I can't believe I'm having to post here 2 days in a row, but this morning I found my lovely Miss Beatrice dead in her bed... she had no symptoms of illness and was fine when I tucked them all up last night :(

Moomin was snuggled up next to her keeping her company, I had to move Moomin away to take her body out.

I'm so upset - again, one of my favourites, a very special piggy and HUGE, bless her, with her bum-quiff of fur!

Run free at the bridge Beatrice, and look after baby Dally who went there yesterday.

Oh no Sophie, I'm so sorry. I'm sure the little darlings do this so we don't worry. It's nice to go this way but its such a shock for us. :( Sleep Peacefully beautiful girl. x

Oh Sophie I'm so sorry to hear your news. After seeing her on your avatar I asked especially to meet her when I came to visit. She was an adorable piggie and had a lovely life with you. With lots of love, Charlotte x

I'm sorry to hear about your little Miss Beatrice she was so beautiful! and you lost one of your little babies yesterday too, it's so sad!xx
 
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. She is no doubt reunited with all your other piggies who have gone before her over the rainbow bridge.

I understand how it is to find other piggies snuggled up to the pig who has died. It is so hard to see them trying to work out why they aren't moving or squeaking, but I am sure they gain some comfort from having the opportunity to say goodbye to their friend.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Was relieved to get through today with no more mortalities here! I know it's par for the course when I've got so many but it doesn't make it any easier.

Moomin is ok and eating again, I'm thinking of bringing her in with the other shelties and giving her some weaned babies to look after - she loves babies and that might cheer her up!
