Hello, quick question! Today I have spotted that both of my boys have mites, I have noticed small open wounds on their backs. Please could you advice whether I need to bathe them in (with shampoo) addition to treating them with Xeno 450 or will Xeno treat all of the mites on its own?

Thanks for you help, Nina

I would say that any bath should not be carried out until 48 hours after any topical treatment. But if you have noticed sores I would get them vet checked to make sure that you are in fact dealing with mites and not possibly some other problem eg fungal. Were the mites diagnosed by a vet?

:agr: Was it self diagnosis or the vet diagnosed it?

Hi and welcome

Please make sure that you are actually dealing with mange mites and not with a fungal infection; they do not always turn up in textbook places and can look very similar in the early stages. Please see a vet for a diagnosis and do not home treat on spec. How long have you had your boys for?

Neither mange nor hay mites do not require baths.
