My 2 boars have been separated for a few months now because they have had 2 bloody fights. They can see each other through a divider still. However they rumble strut at each other 1 minute and then sometimes popcorn around in the middle of an argument. It's like they weirdly like it. However I have no doubt this is a ruse as they would have a bloody fight if they could reach each other. It's bemusing....

That is boars for you... They are just doing what I call 'boar hakas', measuring up to each other along the border of their territory and enjoying it. They are still bonded through the bars.
PS: Dominant sows can do it too. My Beryn is currently making sure that no other piggy is getting the idea of invading her own space (again)!
