I'm going to mix Womble and the two baby girls in the middle of January hopefully.

I know the girls need alfalfa until six months old and alfalfa has a lot of calcium. I know Womble will probably end up eating their hay.

I'm not 100% on the girls age we were told they were between 3-4 months when we got them late November.

They weighed barely 250 grams so I think I was lied to. They are now around 500-600 grams. Pinto was 506 grams and Truffle was 573 grams when last weighed.

My question is after all this exposition. When they mix, is it safe that Womble may eat their alfalfa?
He has had a scan to check for stones recently as Stripe passed away with bladder and kidney stones.
Also will it have a negative impact on the girls if they are not given alfalfa?

Which would be safer when the time comes?
Taking the girls off alfalfa or letting Womble eat their alfalfa? Or is there some sort of middle ground?
I think there's a weight as well as an age you take them off alfalfa but I cannot remember what the weight is.

Piggies of that age do not need alfalfa. Given they will be living with an older piggy and that they aren't very young, I really would not bother with alfalfa at all.

Thank you, because we are unsure of their age and we were pretty sure they were younger than were told when we got them I wasn't certain. I just want to make sure everyone is nice and healthy and I tend to 2nd and 3rd guess myself.

That's why I asked. My husband told me to put the question up because I was worrying about it and said "There's been older pigs put with younger pigs many times, they'll have advice about it."

So that has reassured me thank you.
