Moonpig is depressed

Awww poor love! She'll need some extra cuddles tonight.
I know how upsetting it is, when Flash was in hospital a couple of years ago, Gordon didn't stop crying for him and was running round the cage looking for him, it was heartbreaking to watch, so sending more ((hugs)) xx
 
Oh poor baby. Can you get her a cuddly toy in the meantime? I am so sorry for her. It is so hard for her to understand where her huspig is.

When Cameo was hospitalised, Jeff went with her!

She has got a cuddly rabbit but she's ignoring it. :(
If we can go and see Yoshi tomorrow I'll ask if she can come too.

I think with him being in an incubator and on a drip it might be difficult right now, she did go with him when he was in for a blood test last time. I know that if he starts picking up he's going to want to be with her as he really does get stressed without wifey. I'll discuss it with the vets when they call, if all she's going to do is lie about in a deep depression she may as well be at the vets with him rather than stuck here wondering.
 
Aww poor little baby. Maybe have her with you more like beside you in the evening so she is not alone.

Aww poor piggies!

Trouble is with piggies and drips, a well-feeling visiting piggy might chew!

Jeff was with Cameo from the start - I have the benefit of working in the vets (so can kind of do what I want!) but what I did was popped them both in a large kennel, and split it down the midle with some C&C grids, so that they were "together", but he couldn't harass her/chew stitches etc.

I may suggest that. Re: your original question, we don't know what's going on with Yoshi but the vet didn't think we should give up on him yet . Wally Whiskers isn't due in until Friday when he'll see Vicki. I'm cautiously optimistic that the other vet ( Monday's) may have been wrong about it being a complete loss, we think it's looking a bit better.
 
Poor girl! it is so tough when they can't be with their friend! I really hope that they can be together again soon!

very new to owning pigs...but had an idea cross my mind. Perhaps rubbing your sick piggys scent all over the toy rabbit..may help your little pig. She'll maybe smell his scent and snuggle more with the toy. May not work..but i figure its worth a try. what gave me this idea is one of my dogs has seperation anxiety (mild case)..and so when I have to go on a trip or leave her for a long time...I rub myself with a fleese blanket or get one of my tshirts I've slept in for a few nights..and she cuddles with that and sleeps with it..and it eases her "issues". :). Hope your lil guy makes a guick and speedy recovery.
 
Unfortunately I've just had a phone call from the vet, Yoshi has crossed over the Rainbow bridge. 8...
 
oh no I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, poor Yoshi seems to have been a fighter recently. RIP Yoshi, mummy and moonpig will really miss you but at least you are free of pain x
 
I'm going to fetch Yoshi later. Should I let Moonpig see his body so that she knows he's passed away or not? She's been on her own for 24 hours and doesn't know why he's not there with her obviously. 8...

So sorry to hear about Yoshi. I would let Moonpig see him and let her say goodbye then to her he simply hasn't disappeared. Sending my love to Moonpig.

Yes definitely. let her say goodbye in her own way and in her own time, then she'll be able to move on. So sorry!

Awwwww...just checked Moonpiggle, she's in the hayloft ( covered with a blanket today because of the drafts) snuggled up with her plushy bunny. :laluot_29:
