Mopsy Has Several Lumps

Hi ive not been on for what seems a lifetime ,we have moved house again so just been so busy .
poor mopsy has several lumps , I took her to the vets today and she said they were mammary tumours but they may be benign so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed , she is eating well and seems well in her self, but she is so young and I feel so helpless, I just had to tell someone,sorry to moan guys but thanks for listening .

I'm sorry about Mopsy I hope she stays fine -my fingers are now crossed too. Your not moaning- boy nearly all the threads I've started on here are of me worryingly questioning people on everything my piggy does! I'm sure she'll be ok try not to worry and just give her extra cuddles and kisses

A mammary strip is the best way of dealing with this , the vet removes the whole gland so greatly reducing the risk of further ocerance! I have had the opp done on several pigs , without any problem

So sorry to hear Mopsy has lumps

I think i would probably discuss with the vet whether it would be more beneficial for her to just have the whole mammary gland removed as well.

I hope the lumps all turn out to be benign in any case, and that Mopsy has a speedy recovery. Sending lots of hugs

Hi everyone just spoken to my vets we are going to see how she gos for a couple of weeks then if she seems at all unwell the vet said she would do the mammary strip, so thankyou so much for the usefull info x
