That is good news, were any tests run such as biopsies? My Peter was a "lumpy" pig and these developed while he was a couple of years old. There was a fairly large one underneath him near his back leg so I opted to have it removed but while the vet was in there she found loads of the tiny lumps, so many in fact that she assumed it was going to be cancer. A few were sent to the lab for testing and luckily came back as just benign fatty lumps. Only a few of them really grew noticeably, he also developed a sebeacous cyst on his back near his back leg and the fatty lump near the same leg underneath him also grew to a fair size. Given his age I decided to just keep an eye on him and make sure he wasn't suffering. Last year he went on metacam in fits and spurts as and when he was in discomfort and he passed away in his sleep this year at the ripe age of 7 so they clearly didn't hinder him
Yes I agree there has to be a decision made. I only had the op when he was younger because it was getting in the way of him moving around easily but it did worry me incase it was something sinister that could spread
