More guineas?...

Hi

I joined this forum very recently, and I have found everyone so friendly and helpful, thanks very much!

The only thing is everyday I log on and see more pictures of everyone's lovely guineas and I feel a compulsion to add to my guinea family!

I already have seven piggies, but also four empty hutches... Plus I am planning on taking my boy Hector on a little vets trip so he can live with jemima which'll free up another hutch..... I can see myself in a couple of months with twice as many!

I did have 13 at one point, I can see a pattern emerging..... :))
 
Ha Ha, been there, done that, got the guinea pigs! Have you thought about fostering for a rescue centre, best of both worlds then.. More piggies, and the joy of seeing them go to new forever homes. xx
 
Most of here know the feeling...

I would like to foster as well, if we didn't have to make so many regular weekend trips to my nearly ninety years old mother-in-law in Wales.
 
Thanks that's a great idea, the only slight hitch being that I'm not sure I'd be able to let them go..... Maybe that's something to build myself up to!
 
When I joined eight months ago I had 8 piggies. I lost three, but still find myself at 10 (soon to be 12 - got two boys reserved with Sophie). What can I say...I blame Sophie for four of them!

I think you can let your heart lead you so far, but at some point the head must step in and think logically!
 
I agree! I'm moving house soon anyway, and not taking any piggies for a little while, they're going to stay where they are with my mum and I can visit everyday instead! So I probably wouldn't be thanked for any more little guinea mouths to fill.......

Once I'm settled we're going to decide which of our piggies stay where they are and which come with me. Until I'm settled and know what I'm doing I can only consider more, and nothing else. Luckily I have seven to keep me busy, so I'm not really going without :))
 
Oooh, empty hutches.....now that would too much of a temptation! I only have 2 girls and no room for anymore at the moment. Although just about to order a new cage which would also have space for another piggy.....so I might get them a wee neutered boyfriend to share!
