As a complete beginner at Guinea pig owning I need more help! My 2 gps love to eat newspaper (although they always have loads of fresh food)...is this okay and does it do them any harm? Thanks! :-\
 
Our Sammy has been eating newspaper all his life (nearly 5) and seems to thrive on it :D
When lining the cage I try to arrange the paper in such a way that the least inky bits are the most accessible!
 
my lot love it :)

when i change their cage, put all their goodies back in the first thing they do, is dig deep and start pulling up the paper ::)
 
Dont you just hate it when it all looks gorgeous and clean then within a few mins the lot is wrecked ::)
 
As they always say, they will be fine with eating the newspaper, it's if they start READING it we will have problems ;D

I do worry about mine. They're cage gets lined with The Sun. Can't have them reading that rubbish. I never have Page 3 showing. Don't want to give them ideas
 
I've been bringing home Financial Times from finance dept at work. Reckon it's done my street cred loads of good having those tucked under my arm!

Also get Daily Mail from mother-in-law (we don't get a paper) but trouble is I keep stopping to read bits when I'm lining the cages (funny, never do that with Financial Times! :-\)
 
so some papers are easier to digest than others!? I'll let you know when they start doing the sudokus ;)
