Moving House ?

has anyone moved house with piggys? All stuff moved in just got the pigs to come tomorrow :/ it won't make them hate me will it?! I've got a house with a garden and laminate flooring just for them lol x
 
We have just moved house with the piggies in the last month. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I left cleaning their cage a couple of days longer so by the time we moved them in they would be able to smell their own smell rather than that of the new house to hopefully reassure them which seemed to have worked for them. I also covered up the front of their cage with a towel and gave them their favourite veg for a couple of days. They actually adjusted fine, in fact they seem to be alot more sociable now in this new house for some reason maybe because the family is walking past them all day and talking to them more.
 
Yeah, I moved 150 miles with mine. They were fine. I stopped a couple of times on the road to make sure they were okay and I made their new cage up with the used fleece from their old one.

We've moved again since, not quite so far. But again, they were fine.
 
Ours were absolutely fine, same cage layout, same cage.... they settled in like nothing had happened. Pleased the move has gone well - Always a stressful time
 
Can't do it till Monday now as previous tenants have ran up a massive gas bill and it needs clearing before I can put the gas on ! So mad x
