I fell in love with my beautiful, ruby-eyed girl on the forum, and incredibly sad to have to write this post on here :( On Thursday I had to say goodbye to my Lovely Lolo, she was a little angel and me and Luigi are missing her terribly:(

Lolo came to me on the 12th January 2020, when I saw a rehoming post on the forum and she just called to me, she had to come here to join my pair Jess and Luigi but was very far away in Devon so I thought it was pretty impossible!
Thanks to the hugely generous @YvonneBlue and @eileen she was bought to me by piggy train, and despite being a little bit of a diva who wanted to be top pig instead of OAP Jess at first, she settled in brilliantly and was such a happy girl living with them. When Jess was diagnosed with palliative kidneys, she really supported her and was such a rock to grieving Luigi, she was such a little star.

After losing Jess, her and Luigi lived very happily together, until she became a bit feisty which was very unusual for her, she was diagnosed with ovarian cysts and did great with her op and recovery. Thanks to lovely Aunty Debbie @furryfriends (TEAS) she had a lovely week of recovery staying with her after her op and didn’t want to come home!
But thankfully all then calmed down with her behaviour and she was her happy, sweet self, and Luigi was no longer terrified of her!

She absolutely loved her huge cage upgrade and had no problems after her spay, looking after Luigi this year after his big abscess op and just being her happy, supportive self.
In June she became a bit unwell, and we had the horrible diagnosis of lymphoma. So she was treated like a queen for a few weeks and made comfortable, but just seemed to be back to normal really, her lymph nodes shrunk and so it turned out no cancer!

She carried on with metacam and cystease which seemed to do great for her, until a few weeks ago when I picked her up and felt the lymph nodes in her neck had swollen again (as well as peeing blood but that was on and off from June). I got her over to Cat and Rabbit, and we upped her metacam along with adding in a small amount of gabapentin as she seemed uncomfortable and a bit jumpy. Kim thought it may have been her immune system going a bit haywire as she had the same issues back in June, so I was keeping a close eye, but expecting her to get better if I’m honest.
On Sunday 20th Nov she was a bit quiet, and from then got quite weak, but on the Tuesday perked up and more interested in food. But she sadly got worse and worse on Wednesday and first thing the next morning I had to make the horrible decision to say goodbye, sadly it was lymphoma that took her from us in the end.

It’s hit me hard, and Luigi is also grieving a lot bless him. She was such a special girl, so shy and nervous when she came but had really changed into such a confident and loving little lady, loving her chin rubs and even turning into a bit of a monster with her nail chops and meds, when she would’ve frozen in fear before! I’m missing her so much, she really was my gorgeous sweetheart and such a good friend to her cagemates.
