This is my newest foster lady, Ginny/Ginger/Gin Gin/Rummer/Baby Mummy sadly another case of 16 (weeks) and pregnant. She is an absolute angel, friendly, chatty little miss. These pic's were taken 3 weeks ago. She is huge now! She looks like a little pumpkin! I'll get some newer pics of her this weekend.

Isn't she scrummy! :<>

sooo cute i want my piggy to become pregnant but i dont know weather its a girl or a boy

Thank you, we have had a little movement of her pelvic bones the last few days but nothing exciting happening, and she seems to have stopped growing. However her babies are very active and are wriggling and kicking away!

@ jess2horse - please do not intentionally breed your guinea pig, whether it is female or male. I have not got this guinea pig pregnant on purpose, she is not mine. I am caring for her, for a rescue who do not have the time to devote to her needs. Looking after a pregnant animal is scary! Their, and their babies future is dependent on you and whish an animal so tiny, it's hard to spot when somthing goes wrong, and even harder to fix it!

Pretty girlie! x) Love her big ears and beautiful eyes x) She's a stunner.

She is a little beauty, still getting bigger and boy those babies can kick! Still no movement of her pelvic bones ... she is keeping those pups in tight.

I brought home another pregnant girl on foster on friday, Bourbon came in with Ginger but we didn't spot her pregnancy until later on, I got to watch her ultra sound which was amazing! Although her baby looked a bit like a seal the way it was flapping its feet about. . Shes younger than Ginge, just a little baby herself. The moron who brought these pig's in ... just GRRRRR!

She also has a horrid abscess on her chin which i'm treating. And has had the runs from some antibiotics she was on, poor baby is going through the wars ...her pelvic bones started opening yesterday also. I'm just praying she's not going into an early labour due to stress.

Here are some pics ...

bless them, they are both adorable and so young to be having babies. Really hope it all goes smoothly for them

Both had a vet check at the begining of the week, Bourbon's abcess is healing well, but she has a new new one developed under the original one and pelvis is now fully open ... Ginger apparently has elusive bones as finding hers was difficult in the first place. But as it now stands .... the waiting game is to begin ... and i don't like it!

Aw, how sad they are so young and having to endure pregnancies :(
Wishing both of these lovely girls lots of luck...please keep us posted x>>

I am very happy to report that at some point between 7am and 5.30pm today, Ginger delivered two beautiful baby girls! I got home from work to find them huddled together in the little "hedgehog box" in their hutch, I've split the hutch in 2 just for tonight to make sure she is feeding them etc properly and then i'll remove the divide so that she can hang with bourbon again.

So chuffed :D

Just a sneeky peeky at these beautiful twins! Not sure what to call them but I am liking Lyra and Garnet at the moment. The one on the Left at the back being Lyra as its a delicate sounding name and shes only a tiny little thing (With the biggest feet, ever!) I haven't weighed them yet.

Please Note: I would not advocate the regular handling of very young piggies, unless you know the mother well and take the time to make sure she and the youngsters are not stressed. I know Ginger very well and she barely even noticed these were gone for a few minutes, other sows are not so laid back.

Very, very happy to say that Bourbon has also delivered her litter safe and sound. Two of the most gorgeous little crested pups i've seen in a long time. Look like little boys but I'm going to leave them a week before i confirm ,also beginning to suspect, after a second look the larger of gingers babies is a boy too, seems to be a rather obvious 'doughnut' appear over night. Now names are up in the air! I might have to use the boys names i picked for Alabama (last pregnant fosters) potential sons.

Bourbons two little ones, a wee bit smaller than Gingers, but they are active and bright eyed, and very beautiful! Both mummies are doing very well and doing a good job caring for their pups. Ginger's little ones came out for a run around this evening when the veg got put in.

CONGRATULATIONS GINGER AND BOURBON ON THE SAFE ARRIVAL OF YOUR BOOOOOOOOOOOTIFUL ICKLE MINI'S XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
