Wendys piggy

Two years and two weeks ago, I lost my darling Saffy.

She was quite a character ... a complete contrast to any other guinea pig I've had. Within the first week of having her she tried to escape into next door's garden, giving her the nick name "houdini".

As soon as anyone went anywhere near the fridge she would squeal with anticipation .. if you dared rustle a plastic bag she would go absolutely nuts! She would literally rip parsley out of your hand in a frenzy and just had oodles and oodles of character.

My most favourite memory of her is when it came to dinner time, I'd open the cage so she could jump out, she'd run into the kitchen in a frenzy and run around my feet as I chopped the veggies, open the fridge and she'd try to get in there to munch on whatever was going spare .. and run back with eagerness to munch on the treats in the cage .. she was beautiful, friendly and ever so slightly crazy ... I miss her so much still :(

What a lovely tribute to SAffy. I'm sure if my piggies could get down my stairs they would make a beeline for the fridge as well. I'm sure Saffy has made many friends at rainbow bridge and will be looking after all the other piggies there. Run free beautiful girl..

She was sooo gorgeous x), I can see why you miss her. Some people don't realise just how full of character these little guys are!
Great photos and a lovely tribute to your beautiful Saffy. X

Beautiful tribute to a stunning little girlie x)x)x)

Each one of our little ones has a pigsonality of their own that makes them so special :) and sounds like Saffy had loads of pigsonality! :)

So sorry for your loss. I'm going through the same thing after having to let our darling little man Gordon (thats him in my picture) go due to him being very ill. He too had a special personality. He had learnt that a knock at the door meant indian food which included his special take out salad so would squeek when the delivery man came!

It's hard without them but the memories we have of them in time make you smile rather than cry. A loved piggy is never forgotton and is always with you.
