Well I’m shocked to be writing this so close to losing another massive personality that have lived with me for many years but lost my Arnie the lumpy-bumpy goldfish overnight. To some she may just be a fish but I rehomed her over 12 years ago and she was my baby.
I went to visit my nephew one day and met Arnie, eating her dead friend off the floor of a teeny tank not suitable for anything really. So surprisingly she came home with me! Really didn’t expect her to survive to be honest, but she was a little orange fighter! She used to eat from my hand, we’d have kisses through the glass and she’s been my favourite fish to keep over the years because of her cracking personality Originally thought she was a boy, hence the name, but discovered she was female when I went in to find eggs all over the tank one day!
She had cauliflower disease (which causes tumours to grow all over their body) but sadly one on her face has caused her a lot of trouble, has got infected in the past and has really prevented her eating properly.
But she’s managed with a special diet, think sadly the last few days she’s gone downhill, all this heat hasn’t helped and I found her gone this morning. She’ll leave a massive hole xx Love you my lumpy lady, have fun at the splishy-splashy bridge xx
