Good morning all.Our boy Shadow, had his neutering op yesteday, and came home yesterday tea time.He recovered very well from the anaesthetic, and the nurses said that he had been having a bit of a run around, before I collected him.He has been brilliant with taking his Metacam painkiller this morning, after refusing twice,( I think this is payback for me booking his op yesterday lol),and loves his Cisapride medication. No nonsense with that one, seems to have quite a liking for that. He has been eating, weeing and pooing, and has come up to me and let me stroke him too.He had munched away happily on a small piece of carrot yesterday and broccolli today,so I think he is doing very well.Must admit,I did come down at check him at 02.40 am this morning, just to make sure he was ok,as you do! Shadow has his post op check on Thursday this week, but so far so good! Added to the fact that the weather is lovely and sunny and seems to be warming up a fair bit for the next couple of days,so far a good week! How is everybody else's week coming along so far?

That is great news! :)

Please check his bits daily for signs of swelling and see your vet asap if he is losing appetite/weight in the next few weeks.

Abscesses can happen up to half a year after a neutering op, so it is useful to keep a regular eye on the area even after the wounds have healed.

What lovely news! Sending him healing vibes and I hope he does well with the rest of his recovery!
