I recently got two new piggie's, both boars and they're from the same litter.

One rumblestrut's around the cage and the other one chases him off. But today, they were both talking to each other, and they don't usually squeak at each other and Eric was sat by the food bowl which is like a seperate platform and Al was sat by the tubes in the corner. I put some food in but Al didn't go near it and there was a bit of chattering teeth. I went out but when I came home my mum said that they'd been like squaring off with each other and arching their backs. My dad separated them by putting the tubes down the middle but they moved them out of the way and started again. When I checked them over, Eric's got a small cut under his eye and Al's got blood on his fur.

They'd stopped fighting by the time I came in and Eric was back sitting at the top of the cage by the food and Al was sat in the same place, by the tubes in the corner.

What can I do? Will I have to seperate them tonight?

I heard you can buy two food bowls and two like hiding hole things so they have their own space.

What can I do? :(

I think the general consensus is that once blood has been shed they won't re-bond, my boys had a fall out on Friday but no blood was shed but Roy was very scared and wouldn't eat etc in the cage, I've basically had them living in the indoor run for days as they were fine in there because it was neutral territory and have just managed to get them back in the cage bonded again, I scrubbed everything with vinegar, rearranged the cage/tray/platforms/put new bowls/beds etc in the cage, as well as two hay trays, loads of hideys and beds, two food bowls and water at different ends of the cage.

But as I said I don't "think" blood was drawn, so a slightly different situation, but Roy was terrified in the cage and lost weight because he wouldn't even eat, so am really pleased that they've come round.

they wouldn't stop fighting this morning and I couldn't leave them while I went to school so they're now in two separate cages and Eric's happy but Al misses him! you can't win!

i have two young boys aged about 13 weeks, both act a bit hard to eachother, mounting, rumble strutting etc. i have thought what i would do if they fight.if it does go as far as blood being shed one idea i have is two seperate cages but butted up next to each other so the boys can still see each other and interact ie talk but cant get hold of each other ?
not sure if this will work but its a ready to go plan just incase.
