They are so cute but Arnie will not stopped mounting Dougal and it is driving me mental. I dont know how long to give it before I separate them. They have been together about a month. Any suggestions?

Unless there is fighting where they literally turn into a ball of fur then i'd leave them, check them over for cuts etc and if you find any serious ones split them. Dont be too quick to separate though, they do need a lot of time to sort out who is going to be boss O0 x

There has been a few scratches but nothing serious. I dont want to separate them thats for sure but poor little Dougal he keeps being pounced on.

I am just worried that if I do have to separate them I will have to rehome them as I dont have any room for another cage having also got 34 rats

Awww. I have a Dougal too, but yours looks way more intelligent than mine. ;D Mine was named after Father Dougal in Father Ted, so you get the idea how thick he is. :
