Oh i have a story to tell you all

on teusday when i come back from picking the children up from school my mum said that samba(cat) had got a brid under holly and meggies cage (was wasnt in the cage at the time was in the run) so i got on my knees and got hold my my cats back end and drag him out from under the cage and put him in my room and shut the door then i had to move holly and meggie cages as te bird was stuck it got his head stick in betwenn a little gap between the carport and next doors house it was stuck so my dad came and he got it out but it didnt live it had bonken leg after my dad pulled it thinking it was dead and my cat had had a go at its neck and one of the children who was here at that day was a 3 year old and watch it all

why he couldnt have jsut killed and then brought it home not brought it home and then killed it

he likes to play with thme after he has got them so there cant fly away

i told him yestoday and today to keep the birds in the sky

the poor bird had a bad ending to its lttle life

Cats are natural hunters and he brought it home to show you. In cat's terms they think that is good for them to bring home 'presents', which is why they do it.

(Have read and researched cat behaviour)

Yeah, it's bad but he's not wrong for doing what is natural to him....

The poor 3yr old to watch. Not nice

oh the 3 year old wonted to watch

i know its what he dose and will allways do but not when the children are here

he namlly dose it on a night or eraly moring

My cat was always doing that, the main reason why I wouldn't want a cat as a pet. Unfortuantely that's just the way they are and I don't think there's anyway to stop it and i don't think it'd be fair to stop him as he's just doing what's done naturally.

Thank god Tatty hasn't! Get us all screaming! It's bad enough that he plays with spiders!

Ahh, our cat Spike likes to bring us live mice. He just waltzes in with a proud look on his face and promptly drops them on the kitchen floor, giving me the fun job of catching them. 98)

Lord knows what Honey will bring into the house when she's older.

LOL ;D Bubbles our old girl (RIP) used to bring in mice and birds - dunno where she found the mice though cos we've never seen them :-\

Patch brung a live bird once, it was youngish and it's wing was bleeding - we took it to the vets, no idea what happened to the poor thing, even if it was PTS though atleast it wasn't gunna bleed to death in our living room.

He brung a live mousey thing on saturday and let it go behind the TV ::) but usually it's dead micey things. Meow on the allotment gets birds and little rodenty things, there's always feathers around. ::)

We live in the country, so we've had mice, shrews, sparrows, baby black birds, a mysterious squirrel tail.. Tiger found a slow worm, too.
