My fat piggy!

I brought home a self black boar last week and everyone said how chunky he is for a baby. I managed to get him in the scale scoop on Sunday and he weighs in at a mighty 1 lb 4 oz - at only 7 w(h)eeks old, he's quite a chunky chap. I was lucky enough to see his ma and pa at the breeders and they are both quite big handfuls so think this is in his genes! I do remember reading a few years ago that selfs tend to be on the larger side and in particular black boars.

He's settled in really well now and loves his lap time every evening. I've totally fallen in love with him and even got his chortling noises as my ringtone!

your black boar does not sound too fat, O0 but go easy on the veggies as they are fattening. >. he sounds lovely, my favourite colour.

Don't worry, aslong as he is getting unlimited hay, fresh veggies daily and a good quality pellet he'll be fine :smitten:

Thanks for replying. Think that converts to about 570g. He gets fresh fruit and/or veg daily, unlimited access to hay, and his pelletted food is Supa Guinea (which at first he wouldn't touch but is eating now) and I add a handful of Wagg Guinea Crunch (really just for the colour and variety). :smitten: :smitten:

The wagg guinea crunch isn't really needed but if he enjoys it then hey.
