Tomorrow I am collecting a baby boar following an advert out the trade it and following quarintine and vet confirmation he is definately a he I would like to bond him with my existing boar. Will I need to get them neutered? My existing boar is very well natured and could really benifit from a companion. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
 
If a boar is going to live with a boar they don't need to be neutered as it doesn't change their behaviour. :)

Good luck with your new boar O0 Introduce them on neutral territory with plenty of escape exits and hidey holes just in case there's a bit of fisticuffs! Have a couple of towels at the ready to throw on them if they do start acting up - NEVER intervene in a gp row without the towel!

Thats great thanks. I have bonded my rabbits so am well prepared when it comes to tea towlels, gloves and the like! Wasn't sure if the same applied to piggies re the neutering. Fudge (my current) is very vocal and always chirping away to me so it would be great if he had someone who actually understands what he's saying!
 
Well I picked him up yesterday and he's so tiny - about the same size as my hamster! He was the last one left of a breeders litter, no-one wanted him and he was getting to old to be safely left with mum. The breeder is taking a break. Very healthy little chap but still nameless. So far I like Oreo and Bailey, what do you think? He's black, brown and white.

Decided on Oreo as Other half thought Bailey was too girly! ;D
