after having seen how many unwanted and unloved piggies are out there, i put an ad yesterday on my local 2nd hands site basically saying if people had any unwanted small animals i would offer them a home, well today ive had a lady who used to breed show gp's for a living call me up, to ask can i take in her piggies. shes been very ill and can no longer care for them,shes managed to rehome 18 piggies herself, but is struggling with the last 6 - 4 boys and 2 girls. so ive told her i shall take them in, and shes also bringing me round all her equipment as a thank you (food, bottles, treats, toys, hutches, spare cages and so forth)
so I'm now off to cleanout the spare room for them, and cant wait to see what she brings! after the death of 3 of my poor piggies last week, this has really cheered me up!
i know taking on extra animals is hard work, but helping animals has always been a dream of mine. if i can afford the money and time to care for them...why not eh?!
