My Friend Gizmo

My pet of five years Gizmo has died. He died in the vet’s. We took him when we found out how much weight he’d lost. We didn’t realize it until it was too late. He got to say goodbye to his brother.

Gizmo was a good boy. He knocked his head against your hand and pushed it away if you covered his head. He didn’t do tricks but he was always happy to eat out of your hand. He had one pink ear - It was the last thing I touched- and one black ear, and an even an eyebrow. He was my first non-fish pet and he taught me a lot more than I thought he would in his life.

I love you very much Gizmo.

What a lovely tribute to a real character I'm so sorry for your loss. You can tell from your photos that Gizmo knew he was loved. 5 years is a good age for a guinea pig and it looks like it was just his time. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you, Gizmo, and his brother x
