My girls updated cage

I’m hoping to get more Guinea pig and chinchilla themed posters to hang above their cage btw. Lol. I got frames but don’t use poster frames on their wall only because I don’t want them to someday fall off the wall and into their cage. But enough about the posters already. That’s there home.

It was going to be for 6 but multiple new sows or 1 neutered boar hasn’t worked out. These 4 have been together for many months now and live in harmony for the most part.



I switch them out to fleece (not their beige current 2x10 but I just like that short clip of them together) .

I agree. You mean 1 tbsp each per day? I would consider scatter feeding the pellets for enrichment.

Sure. I scatter feed my hamster. And used to scatter feed my gerbils Back when I kept my old gerbil trio.
Didn’t think Guinea pigs really cared much but that’s something to keep in mind, I’ll need to look into that. I know they love a floor pile of hay more than in the hay rack. Can sprinkle the pellets in the hay too I assume.

Piggies really dont need much for entertainment do they haha i keep thinking to myself to buy as much stuff as possible so they dont get bored but every thread i come to on here settles my urge for a potential waste of money

Yeah sorry I get confused as I only have 2 piggies and I feed them less than 1 tbsp between them

Scatter feeding is a brilliant form of enrichment for piggies and a great way of keeping them occupied - sprinkling them around the cage or in hay is a fantastic thing to do and is the only way my boys get their pellets - it’s always an exciting day for them as they only get pellets about three times a week.
Definitely make sure you are only giving one tablespoon per pig though. It does look far too much in the video.
