If it's not used to it, then yes; at first it would be!

But they adapt well and after a few times they don't get scared at all. My piggles don't mind thunder now or even fireworks, they're used to the noises.

Don't worry about your pig. It might be an idea to get it out for a cuddle afterwards, especially as he/she appears to be on its own? They do cope better with other pigs around but I'm sure that it'll be fine.

we have just moved ours outside after being inside house for winter . we had bad one other night and my daughter age 12 was crying saying they will have heart attackes and things but they were ok

My boys are outside and seem to just ignore the thunder and keep eating! although they will be ***** in for cuddles before bed in a mo!

My gang are indoors but don't think I'd have them outside during a storm unless they are used to the outdoors. Assume your piggy is kept outdoors ? Wouldn't worry too much then but storms can be pretty fierce so would play it by ear.
My piggies grumble if the phone rings or the door knocks so thunder would scare the hell out of them :( Only noise they sleep through is the hoover rolleyes

Mine live outdoors and for the most part are unbothered by thunder etc. However Bumble and Pixie both stuck their head in the chube when we had a big storm a couple of weeks back!

awwwwwwwwwwwww they're clever aren't they x)

They are super brainy piggies, they lie dozing aaaaaaaaaaall day till mummy brings them veggies, and if mummy is late they make a lot of noise to remind her! They know how to live!
