My guinea pig keeps chewing on pee pad. Help!

I have 2 fleece blankets as the bedding in my guinea pig’s cage and I have puppy pee pads underneath them. A few weeks ago my guinea pig started finding the pee pad and chewed on it. Whatever I do to prevent him chewing on it, he keeps chewing on it. I cover corners with bowls, fold the fleece underneath the pee pad, and keep telling Nickel “no” whenever he chews on it. However, he won’t stop.

Can anyone please give me suggestions what I should do? Thanks!

Try using one big fleece instead and tuck in at the corners of the cage. Tell me if this helps?

I have had pigs that do this. I ended up switching to a paperbased bedding
