Thank you everyone for being so lovely.
I hate thinking that I was at a vet I didn’t know, putting my trust in a vet that I hadn’t built a relationship with. In a completely strange and unfamiliar place. Leaving Opal 2 hours away in a city out of the country.
I know the outcome would have been the same if I’d been able to see my usual vet.
But you just can’t help but think..what if?.. I try not to, but it’s hard, grief makes our brain go through all the thoughts and emotions.

Ah Hannah our minds are cruel….when we are going thru the worst thing our minds start the what if, the why and the if only ! You did all you could for Opal - as you always do for animals - sadly it was her time to travel to Rainbow Bridge ….she’ll be reunited with Spike, Mary and Patrick and all the other amazing piggies.
In time you will remember Opal with sad smiles but not heart break
