Sadly, this morning I found Nia with a classic ringworm patch on her cheek which hadn't been there yesterday, so I had to engineer a flying swapover with the separation cage in the hall.
As a result, I have introduced Ceri and Heulwen, who have bonded closely over the last couple of months, to my Trio a little bit earlier than planned this afternoon. I finally got on top of Ceri's fungal problem with an ongoing course of systemic oral treatment about two weeks ago, but she still has an irregular heartbeat and a compromised immune system, so no big group for her!
As Ceri already knows all three piggies of the Trio (Terfel, Taffy and Tegyd), introductions went with a minimum of fuss. Timid Heulwen just took her cues from Ceri and seems to be quite excited by her new home and extended family. There was a lot of the piggy version of "hugs and kisses" during the intro, and of course some humping from Terfel!
Meeting over a plate of freshly cut grass
Saying hello
Dinner under kitchen table while I cleaned out the cage
Exploring their new home
New friends to snuggle up to for Heulwen
And one very tired, but very happy boar!
