I was looking through some piggy pictures and wanted share them on here. These are all my past piggies in the order in which I got them. I've talked about them before, but now here's some pictures of them! Please excuse the picture quality on some of the pictures. Some were digital, but some were taken on *gasp!* a film camera!

Fred, my first piggy. He was one of the gentlest, nicest piggies I've ever had, and also the biggest!

Nearly Hairless Nick, the skinny pig. I learned so much about how much more difficult skinny pig care is, but if it wasn't for him I never would have adopted Willow

Miss Missy, my first sow and Abyssinian

Nibbles, my second sow. She had quite a unique personality! She only liked me, not any other people or animals except for Josephine, her cage-mate. She bit my cat, Peeves, when he was a kitten and to this day he won't go near the piggies!

Mama Pig, named because of the little surprise that came from inside her! She was from a Petco adoption center.

Josephine or Jo as I mostly called her was Mama Pig's daughter and Nibbles best friend. She was a very nice piggy

Woog. She was a really a lovely piggy. She had a big eye with a cataract and a normal eye. She was Bellatrix's cage-mate. Here's a picture of her testing out a little bed I made for her. I think she approved!

Hairy Potter, a coronet boar. He was a very nice piggy, although it was a good thing he didn't have a mirror near his cage with all these awful haircuts I gave him! He might not have been so nice if he'd seen what I did to his lovely hair!

Smores, a teddy boar. He was a massive piggy! His coloring was beautiful too

Wilbur, a lethal baby. He was blind and deaf, but he was quite a character! He was so small he'd sit right in the palm of your hand

Aww they are all so lovely, I love the picture of Wilbur the most.

I like the story of the piggie biting your cat the most story wise. Poor kitten. :))

Thank you :) Wilbur was such a cutie!

It still makes me laugh when I think about Nibbles and Peeves. The poor kitty was so shocked when he poked at this little black creature and it bit at him! He's never bothered the piggies ever again, for which I'm very glad!

Aww they're all so gorgeous! Especially Hairy Potter!

How do you have to look after hairless guineas? Is it quite hard work?

They're all lovely, thanks for sharing your memories. x

Lovely to see pictures of your piggies that we've heard about. Can't believe how brave Nibbles was biting Peeves! Obviously caused Peeves to have a lifelong fear of piggles! LOL!

Gorgeous Woog x) what a lovely picture of her.

Skinny pigs are quite a bit different from hairy piggies, care wise. They require a lot more care. Behavior wise, the act the same as any other piggy :) They eat more, poo more, so more cage clean-outs. In humid weather I have to keep my Willow's cage extra clean, otherwise poos will stick to her skin. They have to live indoors. They're nails have to be trimmed constantly because they'll scratch themselves. Willow gets dry skin in the winter, so she needs a special lotion for that. It is defiantly harder to take care of a skinny pig, especially one like Willow who had been neglected by her previous owner, then rescued.

If you want any further reading or ask more questions on skinny's, I've got a thread here :)

Thank you :) I've been looking back and remembering the past a lot lately, probably because of 9/11

Aw, thank you :) Nibbles was quite a character! Nibbles and Josephine were having floor time together, and someone started vacuuming when I left the room. Josephine is scared of the noise the vacuum makes and ran and hid in a corner. Nibbles saw how scared Josephine was and charged out and attacked the vacuum! She was so protective of Josephine! :))

Thank you :) Yes, I have many happy memories of her, especially since her personality made her very memorable! :) She would put on a tough attitude, chatter her teeth and just act grouchy. But if you did something nice for her (like give her veggies :))) she would turn into the sweetest piggy ever.

I remember when I first bought her (she was from a pet store) I picked her up, and held her up to my face. She promptly started to chew on my nose :)) I was planning on naming her Holly, until she did that. Then her name was Nibbles :))

Oh yes it is! :) Willow can be even more work with her teeth problems and digestive problems, but she had a bad life before she was rescued. Her having a good life now is so worth it :)
