My piggie potato is gaining weight and he's a blob.

My Guinea Pig Bean has been separated from his partner due to their fighting. He's gained some weight and doesn't really seem interested in much like he used to. I've been working on climbing the stairs for veggies, expanding his cage area as we wait for more c&c cage parts to be shipped, and I've bought him a tunnel for him.

I plan to spend more time with them as I'm going to be working from home so.... What piggy activities do you do with your Guinea Pigs?

Keep away from fruits is what I'd suggest.

First, what is his diet?
Second, have you checked his heft?
You can’t make a piggy be more active than they want to be but ensuring his diet isn’t slipping will be the first step.
Then work on enrichment. Make him have to forage for his food as not only does it keep them physically active, but also keeps their mind occupied.

Please understand they he may also be missing companionship.
No matter how much we interact with our piggies it will never replace the enrichment that they get from having a same species friend.
You say you are making his cage bigger which is wonderful - is there any chance you could get him another companion?
Just because your boys had a fight doesn't mean he wouldn't love another friend.
Boar dating at a rescue would be the safest option so he can choose his own friend if at all possible, but not sure how achievable that is where you live?
