At cuddle time tonight I tried to tell my piggies it was veg time to see if they believed me. I said ' din dins' in my "guinea pig voice" (usually they go mad squeaking and wheaking and looking expectantly for their dinner at veg time) they just sat on the sofa not saying a word. They know after cuddle time when they are back in the hutch it's veg time.

After cuddle time and they were back in the hutch and it was really veg time I took their veg out and said 'din dins' in my "guinea pig voice" and they went mad as usual. I guess they know the routine! There's no fooling them!

Creatures of habit. Your story really made me smile, they really know what goes on don't they.

Widget used to be the piggy squashed up the corner when cage climbing at veg time as Cookie, Vimto and Sarsaparilla used to all crowd her out. She unfortunately lost all her friends and now even though Chickpea stands back from the bars Widge still squishes up the corner :)) bless her

It's amazing how they remember their routines. My OH came in from work yesterday and the piggys went mad. They usually have some nuggets in the afternoon if their not out on the grass and I'd forgotten to give them any. The only thing we can think of as to why they were so excited was they were telling on me!
