My surprise babies!

We became the owners of 2 female piggies a few weeks ago, a momma and her (nearly full sized) baby. Apparently the momma was holding in a bit of a surprise. Found 4 baby piggies yesterday! They aren't named yet.

I have no idea what breeds are involved. My first experience with guinea pigs came a few weeks ago when we rescued the two girls. I couldn't get a good picture of momma. This is the best I've got. Momma is the one on front and her baby in the back. I took this picture as soon as we got home with them before I even had a chance to change their cage. It was FILTHY!

I have no idea who the father is. And yeah, I'm sure they're both girls... that's one of the reasons I was so surprised!

No, we don't have enough room, but we're working on that ~smiles~ I would love to be able to keep them all, but I don't know if we'll be able to. It's a bit more than we bargained for.
