I joined this forum 6 years ago when I first got Acorn. She lost multiple buddies and spent a lot of time just me and her. She would snuggle and give little kisses and was the best guinea pig I’ve ever had.

This morning she was pts at the vet after an undetected mass ruptured. The onset was sudden so she didn’t suffer.

I feel like most people in my life wouldn’t understand how heartbreaking it is because they can’t imagine a guinea pig being that special but I know people here will understand.

I got to spend six amazing years with her and I will forever be grateful for that.
 
I am so sorry you’ve lost Acorn and I totally understand how devasted you must be feeling. You gave Acorn a beautiful life, filled with love and care and she lived her very best life with you :hug:Your pain will ease but for now treasure your memories and take good care as you grieve

My heart goes out to you. I completely understand the situation you are in - any pet no matter how small or large is part of the family and loss is hard to bear. I end up in bits every time a pet passes away, the most recent being 2 weeks ago. Please take care of yourself as Acorn will have left a big piggy-shaped hole in your heart but will have known the love you had for her.

I completely understand how you are feeling. Sending you a big hug 🤗. I lost Percy three weeks ago and I was heartbroken. Take time to remember the wonderful life you gave Acorn.
