Naming a star after your pig!

I'm going to name a star after Leo, my beautiful little guinea pig who died in October 2009. I'm going to save the £49 so I can have a picture of it, altho the £25 would be easier to obtain, it doesn't come with a picture. I'm going to put him in the Leo Constellation because it's him... Leo... & it's viewable from the UK

I understand the thought and it's lovely, but really, who can own the right to a distant star? It sounds like someone came up with a way to make money out of nothing. You could just pick a star, the brightest shining one of them all, and decide it's Leo. Noone can argue with it!

I sponsor a pen at the rescue in honor of wee Freja I only got to keep for 5 weeks. It feels right for me and I think she would approve, helping more pigs. Freja was not a high flying piggy

aww, thats a lovely idea, me and my OH have stars named after us, for valentines, and we also had a tree planted.
