Hi,

Was wondering if there is an age when a male guinea pig is too old to be neutered? Thinking of adopting a male for my girls but would need to have him neutered. Is 3yrs to old if he is healthy?

Thanks

I think it depends on how healthy your pig is, often with rescue pigs we don't know how old they are. If a vet checks him and thinks he is fit for surgery he should be fine!

Personally, I would see if you can get a neutered male from a rescue and make sure he gets on with your sows before
committing to keeping him.
