I introduced MArvin to Fred in the bath over 2 months ago now does that mean I can't introduce him and the ladies in the bath?

Ive only ever introduced girls. I never bathed them, just made sure the cage was freshly changed and a thorough cleaning to remove scent. Both my introductions were successful thank goodness and I didnt need to go down the route of bathing them, which I would have done if the introduction hadnt been successful. I'm sure they will be fine...

I'm sure the bath won't smell familiar now.

I tend to do introductions in a huge area, though - it means that if they start bickering the victim has room to flee and everyone can tire each other out. If you can, perhaps you could use the kitchen or bathroom floor itself?

I agree. Use as big a space as you can.

I used a huge run with lots of double exited hideys and lots of food.

squeaks

also rub guin ones smell on guin two and visa versa just to confuse them a little
when they sniff each other they will smell their own smell too

take care in the bath i know a rab that broke its back getting out the bath

Lol... I'm not going to bath them I just ment let them meet in the bath with no water! Would I be able to use Fred's run to introduce them if I removed his cage and toys, Plus cleaned it?!

It will smell of Fred and is familiar to him so is not neutral ground.

Really, just use the bathroom floor. Lift everything off the floor and stuff it into the bath and let them go. You should be present during an introduction until things settle anyway.

I've found introductions go better without hiding areas, it means the pigs don't have a place to become possessive over and are all equally terrified yet enticed by food.

i would clean it really well but i am sure it will be fine you are going to worry yourself into an early grave!

Hehe - as long as the floor has been cleaned, he shouldn't recognise it but I don't think he would see it as his area if he has only used it for a short time. I agree with the bathroom floor. :)

It doesn't matter whether Fred has been on the bathroom floor before - it's NOT his territory and is not marked as such; that is the important point!

Neutral ground is strictly that - ground that doesn't belong to any of the groups.
