My gorgeous new boy Fudge. I got him from the adoption section at pets at home. He is approx 5 months old. His teeth were really long apparently and was born without a bottom tooth but they said his teeth are fine now and has been well looked after by the vet. Love him to bits already x)

Aww he's gorgeous and reminds me of a little boy i fostered named Eddie, have you considered taking him to another vet for a quick check up ? I know a few people have been told one thing by the pets at home vets, and then another from there own vet, sometimes it's nice just to have a quick check up for piece of mind too !

Hope he settles in well, will he be living with a friend ?

Look forward to seeing more pictures x)

Thanks, I am in awe of him. x) yes i think its a good idea for a vet to give him the once over just to be on the safe side :)

I definitely want to get him a little friend, just debating whether to get him neutered and get him a wife piggie or try to bond him with another male? I have a large 2 floor c&c cage which i am now going to half so my boys rocky and scruffy will live on one side and Fudge and his friend on another.

He ate well last night, his first night here, he loves carrots cucumber and letter at the moment. :))

As previously recommended, a vet visit to get his teeth check over would be very wise.

Finding a vet that is experienced with piggy dentistry is not easy, and as their teeth grow constantly it is very important that any assessment is done by someone who understands the problems that poor dental health can create.

I would make the journey to go to Northampton to see Simon Maddock for the his assessment, I send the dental pigs from the rescue here in South Wales to see him (he's that good!).

This is the link to his practice.

Personally trying ot bond him with another boar (male) piggy would be alot less stress, and cost as well as a much quicker solution.
As long as you have a good amount of space boys can be bonded well, and at least that way he avoids all nasty operations and doesn't have to wait 6 weeks.

Also as you already have boys, putting a girl in the same room would cause arguments among your bonded pair that could be a disaster !
