New Cuddle Roll

Today I decided to use up some offcuts of fleece that have been lying around and I made a new Cuddle Roll for the girlies.

Here is a pic of it in the pen. No takers just yet!

Cappuccino was the first to check it out.

She hasn't let anybody else have a go yet although they have tried to persuade her to move over!:p
 
i am in the middle of makeing one of them, my mum is hleping me a bit though, lets just say i got frustrated with the thread :))
 
They are not difficult to make but it does get a bit fiddly doing the cuff as it's so thick.

yer thats the bit i got angry withgrrrr, and i accidentally broke the needle on the sewing machine which is why my mum is doing that bit:))
 
I ended up doing that bit by hand, it took twice as long as all the rest of it. I think next time I might get thinner wadding. Not so comfy but easier to sew!
 
my mums doing that bit by hand as well but she is only finishing it tomorrow
 
It took me most of the afternoon........ and my fingers are a bit sore now. If your Mum has a thimble she may find it easier. I can never find mine when I need it!
 
she did look for one but i think my little sister has taken them, she thinks they are little hats for her toys :)) i dont blame her she is only 5 lolrolleyes

It's all in German but the pictures explain it all clearly enough. You can translate it if you like but it's a bit of a hoot! Gobbledegook, one part says "All those that are batting will be out" Which when you look at the pictures means the wadding will be on the outside at this point! I thought it sounded more like cricket. There are quite a few projects on this site so I will be giving some of the others a go soon.

Hi,

I'm new to this site. Your guinea pigs look really cute in the cuddle roll!

I'm not sure how i start a new thread? I wanted to ask if any of you have had any problems with your guines pigs urinating in their food bowls?! I have a female guines pig (Penny) who is 10 weeks old and everyday without fail she will sit and urinate in her food bowl! Any suggestions on how to stop this?

wowie fabulous cuddle tunnel, its inspirational as i wouldnt mind trying to make my boy Arthur a cuddle tunnel :)

When you go to a section such as "Your Stories and Photos" at the top left there is a New Thread button,

I can't comment on piggies peeing in their food bowl as our four have never done this but I'm sure someone will be able to help. Try posting in the Guinea pig care section under behaviour.

Could it be a comment on the food!:))

Nice tunnel! I use the same instructions and have just started again. Last time I made 40 pieces that I donated to the rescue :) This time I might not make quite as much and I will keep some for myself too..
 
ooh i have the german website patterns

got an essay to finish for Uni and work of course but after next week i'm going to try!
i really hope mine turn out as fabby as yours

Wow, your cuddle roll is better than the one on the website!
Kudos to you! :) Did you get it to stay that stiff by just using wadding?
 
Thank you. Yes, the only washable wadding I could get at the moment was quite thick and this made the roll stand up nicely. It has made it very comfy for the piggies but it was quite stiff to sew.
 
I want to make some for christmas for the pigs, not too sure how you make them tho!:))

silly me I didnt see the instruction link *rolls eyes*
