After losing two of our three chooks last year we had a lonely hen. We waited over the winter before getting some new additions last week. Here they are

I used my usual victoria sponge recipe and used fancy vanilla so it was lovely. I made it for a dinner party with the OH family so got some great "Ooo"'s and "Ahhs" when I cut open what looked like a plain if huge cake on the outside.
