My new arrival is a lovely 10 month old boy, his background is that he was originally housed with a girl, then put in with his son, I think we all know how that happened rolleyes, then his cage mate died, the kids lost interest so he's come into the rescue I foster for.

He's causing major unrest outside, he's so excited to see and hear other piggies he's not stopped wheeking and chattering. My 2 older boys are ignoring him, but Pea and Pod think it's marvellous and they're joining in too, my noisiest piggie can't see him but is trying to outshine him by wheeking louder. The girls have been moved to the bottom of the garden but are all joining in too.

Bet my neighbours love me at the moment.:)):))

I can imagine the concert! Looks like your new boy is really happy about the company!

The original plan was to neuter him and marry him to Ronnie and Roxy my other 2 foster girls, but they've had some interest in them this week, so no decisions are being made.

But......

I've just put him out in a run next to one of my own singleton boys who I've been planning to bond with a friend, there's been a bit of rumbling and then a mad couple of popcorning laps from my older boy. Now they're munching grass together quite happily at their respective sides of the mesh.

So I might just take it a day at a time with them and see how it goes. I have another singleton boy, so if it's not working with this one, I might try him next to my longhaired boy, so he may be coming to stay here as a forever but it's very early days yet, and I'm not sure if my neighbours will ever forgive me though.

i love a loud piggie he sounds really happy i think you will be keeping him any chance a picture? ;)

How lovely for him to have found his voice! Our foster boys are getting very chatty now, and as soon as they empty their water bottle one of them starts wheeking and doesn't stop until it is refilled!

That sounds wonderful. This piggie must be so excited to be in the company of other piggies. I can imagine your neighbours might be a bit miffed it they are all wheeking through the night but who cares:(|):(|) This new piggie sounds like a wee character..
