I'm abit stuck on what to do. As some of you may know I adopted a new pig last weekened. Anyway when I feed them their veg my two old girls would eat the pepper last, even waiting a few hours to eat it once they had their corriander etc. It was fine because they ate in the same order. But now the new girl runs round, hoovers it up and then there have none left so havent been getting any.

It's not possible to get them out and feed them some because they will look at me like I'm crazy, its not one of the foods they eat out of my hand - its like the kids leaving salad on the plate until they are hungry rolleyes

My mum said I should leave a few bits behind and once the nice bits are gone I should put some by the girls? But I'm just worried they arent getting enough Vit C.

I agree with your mum. If your that worried, leave the pepper out of their food until the rest has been eaten, and then put the pepper in.

Sounds like a good idea. I sometimes give my girls the main part of their veggies and then give them something else a couple of hours later; herbs or a carrot for example.

At least that way you'll know they're all getting a bit ;)

Or you can feed only pepper first thing when they are hungriest, and only put in the rest of the veg afterwards.

PS: Other veg like parsley or broccoli are fairly high in vit. C as well.
