New Girlies

Hi All,

As some of you know I agreed to take in 3 of HayleyandJohn's pigs as she is reducing her herd numbers. Well Hayley and John brought them up this morning and I have been bonding them with my four sows and they get on great! Here are some pic of them, I will try and get better shots later when they are more settled! :)

Pearl at the back, New girls Leia (named after Princess Leia from Star Wars) she is a Black and White Teddy and aged 7 months, Fleur and then Flora.

Lyra (named after the little girl in The Golden Compass) she is a Ginger and White Teddy aged 8 months and Elora (named after the character in Willow) she is Leia's sister so is also 7 months old.

And just one of Amber so she doesn't feel left out...lol

ohhh Louise they are lovely! you must be proud love the names as well very creative hope you have a great time together keep us posted

Thanks girls. Will post more piccies later. The new ladies have settled in really well and they have a 9x2 C&C Cage in the shed for them which I am cleaning out and keeping everything crossed it doesn't rain.

I was fine with extending my girly herd but no way could I do it with the boys, imagine 7 boars all running around together! :o

Took us ages to pick names had to run them past Emily she wanted Hermione but she can't say it, she says Miney! :))
 
Or Louise they are lovely wow what a great little herd you have. The girls all look lovely and chunky. Amber has grown so much. Beautifulx)x)x)
 
We need a shovel for Fleur...haha she won't use the ramp in the shed but hoping the new girls will show her! Amber is a sweetheart, she's such a joy to have very loving and friendly. x)
 
Hi All,

Just an update. It started raining so all the girls got a little wet and were put back in the shed. They love it! They've had veggies and are settling in great. I will leave them to settle. Leia is especially friendly but Elora is a little timid too while Lyra doesn't care too much as long as she has veggies! :)

Will leave them to settle and get some pics on Monday on cleaning day! :)

Thanks, just been to top up hay and pellets and they are whizzing up and down the ramp like olympi sprinters. And they are taking veggies off me. :) Flora and Fleur my original two are acting like mum and just sitting around! :D
 
They look/sound like theye getting on really well! I'm so pleased! Their old cage mates were squeaking at me like where have my friends gone! Aww bless! :))

Glad you got back safely. They are lovely girls. I thought bonding would take longer. It did rain here so I had to run out and get them! :)
