New Guinea Pig owner!

My name is Sara, I am 27 year old single Mom. I recused my first piggy at the beginning of December from a family. I never owned or handled a guinea pig before in my life. I seen his picture on craigslist and fell in love with him. he had some serious health issues when I first got him and with the help of a local vet I got him back to perfect health. At the beginning of February I got him a girlfriend, my 3 year old quickly named Ruby on her own after her favorite cartoon. I have fallen in love with them, so has my daughter. I never dreamed of them making such wonderful pets. I have been so moved by owning these precious little critters I am considering fostering. Just happy to be here with others who have the same passion for these guys!

yes he is! I may be a new owner..... but I know better! I just didn't want to take the chance of introducing another male to the one I already had, but after learning more about them realized I really needed to get another, well that and my vet demanded it. he even discounted fixing him by a lot so I would.
 
Guinea pigs are wonderful, so many people don't realise just how individual they are. It would be good to see some pigtures. Good luck sticking at two though, I went from two to six in two years. I stuck at six for a few years and in the last few months have gone up to eight :)

Piggies are addictive - we went from 2 to 5 in 2 years .
