Hi everyone. A couple of days ago I got a fresh delivery of hay. I got two boxes one Timothy and one meadow. It looks green and fresh. Smells gorgeous too. But they don’t seem keen on it! It’s “weigh in Wednesday” tomorrow evening so I’ll be able to see if they’ve eaten enough this week. I got it from the same supplier and they were eating more of it before.

My question is does it usually take them a while to get used to a new batch of hay?

Thanks

It can do. Haybox meadow hay was a hit straight away though unlike other stuff we tried. So good and green, the meadow hay even I am tempted by but chickpea would shout

My pigs are very picky, especially Lily, she's a total primadonna. We finally went into lockdown again so I have stacked up on their favourite hay :')
Hope your piggies come to their senses soon! That hay sounds delicious!

Thanks for the replies. Yes it took them a few days to come around but I think they are eating enough 👍🏻
